Stress. Burn Out. Just not the point.

Hey again. An entry after quite some time. The end of the year is approaching, and my classmates are bogged down with more assignments than most of us can handle. I have a pile, and it keeps on piling up as days go by. I feel thanksful that Independence Day is tomorrow, allowing me more time to work on my undone(and untouched) presentation for english. Until now I'm still unsure of the topic, and I have chose "The Cause and How to Prevent Abuse to Women and Children". That's an issue to me. I hope I get to present it properly. *phew

I think my dear english lecturer, Ms Leena is gonna have my skin since I had not hand up my essay...and she was expecting it before 5pm YESTERDAY! Ack! >_< I have this bad feeling my grade is gonna drop, real bad.

After the one week holiday, back to college I go, and the same old thing starts again, except that its at a more faster pace. It's like the days pass by faster than I can live through them. Or maybe because the finals for this semester is coming upon me. Oh no...

I have not really prepared. Though the exam lasts only 3 days for me, I'm still nervous. Worst is that the fact that Economics is the very first paper. I hope my confidence in other papers after that won't deterioriate.

I have been sick for the past 2 weeks. Dry cough, and flu. The flu is almost cured now, and I'm left to deal with the cough. Been drinking honey and lime(thanks for telling me that shu wei had the recipe on her blog ^^), and pei pa kou and you'd probably think it's definitely gonna cure, but heck, it still comes, like there's no effect. Haihz...

There's a Malam Kebudayaan Melayu( or was it Majlis Kebudayaan Melayu?)at KDU this Friday night, and I'm still not sure if I'm going(Rachel, curfew, pls beg my dad :|) I forgot to ask if it is formal or casual wear. Casual then I'll go. Formal then I'd forget about it. I'm so tight on money, I have to stick tight to my budget. *sob

Assignments and problems.....what bright side of life?

To start of with, the "new" CPU I acquired from my uncle few days back is getting on my nerves. I have to admit the speed with really fast, but after the Norton Antivirus 2005 started acting up, the speed slowed tremendously. I bought a new CD today, but after some time a dialog box popped up and said that the program is corrupted or there's something missing. Oh god! Now it seems like I have to risk transfering and downloading files with caution, ALOT!

Now being bogged down with assignments(some overdue...), I am spending mass amount of time in front of the computer. Not that I need to go online, but sometimes I just couldn't resist it if I feel like checking emails or blog.

I'd beter go now, computer's acting up again.

Yay! A new computer!! (after 6 years....)

Yay! Many thanks to my uncle, my family and I are owners of a sort-of new computer. According to my uncle, the previous CPU is SUPOSED to be better than this but....due to certain under-maintenance, it's probably a trash heap now. My uncle said the previous might need heavy formatting, but it's up to me to decide. Hmm...now having Windows XP, it feels so much faster, hehe...

Realising now that I did not back-up(not like I bothered to...) any files from the previous CPU, I have no smileys for my Messenger, no picture files, no MP3s, no alot of things. Haha...now I'm thinking whether I need them or not....maybe not...just maybe....

Last Friday, I just sat for my Moral Education examination. It....wasn't really difficult.....if I had studied....not to say I didn't study at all. I browsed through what I thought was going to be asked. I got some on the spot, but the others....I just crap out. :P

Erm...to tell the truth, I kind of forgotten what I wanted to write, so I shall stop here first, okay? ;)

Sick (note: not haze-related)

This is gonna be one stupid entry. You've been warned.

I got sick for the first time in the year 2005 three days ago. Started in the morning as a slight sorethroat. Then sinus attack. What's more, that day was particularly hectic.
It didn't got any better that night as I had screamed at my siblings to keep quiet(they always talk at the TOP of THEIR VOICES), and of course the sorethroat didn't get better.
At night, there's aircond. The cold dry air made my throat a thousand times worst, and swallowing would be a much-avoided task.
Next day, I could barely talk in the morning. So, ended up whispering to people. After drinking Pei Pah Kou(i think it's spelled this way), felt so much better, could actually stop whispering in the afternoon. :D
Then.....yesterday I walked home in the rain. I was impatient. I tried to call home, but someone must have not put the phone down properly, so it's engaged. Then, tried calling my youngest sister's hand phone, but it was off. Same as my other sister's. I should have waited for the rain to stop but I didn't and walked home in the rain for about 10 minutes. That move made my cough no better.
Anyway, i got to go now. Just saying stuffs here. Exam today. Adios~

Haze. Schools close.

Classes are cancelled today. Haze. Yesterday as Neeraa and I were walking through the cafeteria, we were greeted at the counter by the staff, who wore masks! Imagine, only a handful of students wear masks, so we were very surprised, but they are wise to do that.

KDU building isn't covered up, so the polluted air could(and has already) reach into the cafeteria, the long corridor, the elevator area, the open carpark(duhh!), and oh, every single floor in the building. Except the fourth floor. Unless someone is stupid enough to open the window, like me(oops!).

Luckily, most of my classes are held on the fourth floor. The floor is currently free from the haze. After walking a few days in the haze, even with my hand cupped over my mouth and nose, I'm starting to experience a slight headache and sore throat. It has really gotten this bad, the haze.

Even when there was a haze last time the situation wasn't as bad as this. But somehow I'm happy classes are cancelled ^_^ Can stay home and loaf :D

Was supposed to watch the new movie, Bewitched starring Nicole Kidman and Will Farrell today with Neeraa and Induu. In the end, since we had no class today, the plan was cancelled, and I've already booked the tickets! Luckily it was online booking, if I had gotten the tickets itself I would have to watch it with my sisters.

During a conversation on the phone yesterday with Neeraa, she told me the government "ishytiharkan darurat". Huah. I don't remember whether they did do that when there was haze last time.

The only time i remember when they ishytiharkan darurat was the May 13th 1963 incident. I wasn't literally there but I studies it in history lesson years ago. For those who doesn't know what's ishytiharkan darurat, it's when the government announces that schools would be closed(depends), and people are encouraged not to go out because of bad conditions. In the current condition, it's the haze.

The black shawl that I am working on, I had it redone 4 times because I had often made a mistake in the number of stitches! Worst, as I had already say, it's black, so I have difficulty knitting, but I shall try to anyway. I had to cut off some yarn when it got tangled up....sob...wasted some yarn already :'(

So this is all the crap I wanna say today, nothing new, besides getting my room repainted after more than 10 years! ^^

My topic had been rejected twice!!

My english presentation topic had been rejected twice by my lecturer! Why? Because...the topic I chose wasn't really an issue (as in, using the topic to "Cari gaduh"). Hmm.... so platonic friendship cannot be used to cari gaduh. Hmm...so I'm in a dilemma now as next week would be presentation week.

Okay, so things in english weren't going as well as Ms Leena was expecting. There were a couple of students who forgotten their number or title, or worst, both. I was one of them. I lost my number...which was around 22 or something. Ms Leena was like "You're not supposed to forget your number!!". A little late, huh? I must've threw it out when I changed my pencil case. My topic is not finalised as well.

I must have been greedy lately. I have a poncho project going on, but I started on another project. A shawl. Here's how it looks like: Basketweave Shawl. The one in the picture is blue in colour, I decided to knit in black. So far, I've never knitted anything in black, and since yesterday, I had stumbled upon some difficulty with knitting with black yarn because I can hardly see how many stitches I had there. This is gonna take some time....

I've added a new section at the sidebar, on the craft projects I've been doing or had done. I might have forgetten to insert some of them. I'll insert when I remember. And I forgot to insert the list of other blogger friends I know. Oopz! It got erased when I changed the skin! Oh my god.

I'm finally having my last holiday for this course on the 22nd of August. I've got news today that my second term final exam will be on the 12th for 3 days. Then my finals for my final semester will be on the 11 of November till the end of the month! But it depends, I dont have to come everyday as I'm not taking every subject in the schedule. Thank god!

This morning, the haze was about the same as yesterday. My dad drove me to college and my sister MM to her tuition classes. Despite the haze, I walked out of college with enough time to get myself a packet of nasi lemak(the NL in college is expensive! and has little stuff). Yum! Has sotong which I like very much in it too! XD
Got back to college but didn't managed to eat the NL. I ended up keeping it warm rolled up in my sweater in Economics class. Whiffs of NL smell came through my sweater. Oh god. Then I dumped it in my locker for I can't go on carrying it around. My sweater began to smell of NL. But I had to use it for my computing class because somehow or another, the class is colder than usual. Leanred Flash today. Quite confusing as I still can't quite remember the functions, hope I'll get used to it.

Exams are in one month's time. Was looking for a code which kinda like says "30 days and 12 hours more to exams..." sort of thing. Saw one which is cute but I changed my mind when it said, "XX months and XX days pregnant". Oh nevermind.

My classmates who came back from the Redang trip had become a few shades darker. Oh my! They stayed quite long under the sun, and had alot of activities under the sun too. Except for one fella, Nick. To Ms Leena, he DIDN'T even become A shade DARKER. "Pale boy" she said. Haha. But I'm serious. You can hardly tell that he went for the trip.

Haze. Alot of people are falling sick due to it. Not pleasant. I had walked home 3 times this week in the haze, and I think it's getting on my eyes and skin. Dry eyes, difficulty breathing. Plus sore throat. I haven't this symptoms. This morning, my father said not to walk home anymore, the haze is getting worst. As my friends and I were looking out the windows this afternoon from college, we can hardly see the houses clearly, unlike last time. Imagine those people who're living near the course of the haze...

Now I'm still figuring out when's the graduation day for my course. One lecturer said in January 2006, another said in August 2006. Okay, so both are in 2006, but January and August are SO much apart. Then, after graduation would be...prom!! I hope this is no false information. I really want to go prom this time. I missed it during secondary. Not that I REALLY missed it, I just didn't want to go.

Okay, it's time for me to go. Ain't walking today. I don't want to get sick before this year ends, hopefully.

Genting Rawkzz!! if only i had the money.....:(

Before I start on this post, I'd like to announce that I just posted the 25th July post not 5 minutes ago because I left it on "Draft". Forgotten about it. -_-" The title states that there's some rantings but just forget about that part because I forgot what rantings I was supposed to say O_o

Okay, getting on with this post.
Two days ago(Thursday) I followed my aunt and cousin to Genting Highlands. Earlier on, I was feeling because I didn;t have much to do besides my assignments. Because I took so long to bathe and change, we left at about 8pm to Gohtong Jaya to sit the cable car. Aunt was driving, and I am amazed as she can drive using manual transmission :D On the way, twice, or thrice we took the wrong turning and ended somewhere else. Stuck in Selayang for more than 30 minutes...and had to stop at 2 petrol stations to ask for directions. Often, there were signboards bearing the words "Genting Highlands" but then the next thing we know is that the next signboard doesn't state that we were going the right way!

Oh and the signboards are more confusing. One minutes, the first signboard says turn right to GH. The next thing, it says turn left to GH. Like, how are we supposed to be on the right, and at the same time, on the left of the road??? I wonder...

After a couple of wrong turns and petrol stations later....we were nearly reaching Gohtong Jaya. It was already 10.03pm and we were on the verge of panic because my grandfather, who works near GH, assumes the clable car operates until 10pm. Only when he called my aunt when we reached Gohtong Jaya that he told us the cable car operates until 11pm! Thank goodness....

A friend of his took us up to the cable car area with his van. Reached there at 10.40pm. More than enough time to reach to the cable car place, and ride to the long-awaited GH!! Muahahar! :D My aunt said it takes approximately 50 minutes to reach GH using the cable car. O_o so long? I ever realised! Next time must count ^_^

It was late when we finally reached the hotel room. After washing up, aunt went off to sleep earlier than my cousin and I. Was channel surfing and watched some gross stuff on Fear Factor (buekkkzzz!). Then watched one ballet show story. About the life of this ballerinas, and their ups and downs in ballet. Teaches us how to cope with life, and not to give up. Reminds me of this one quote I read in a magazine "When God closes one door, there's another door waiting for us to open and explore". Haa....so does that mean I should stop college and go exploring? Haha :P

The next day, we got up almost late and went to a restaurant on one of the lower grounds. Oh my god everything costs more than double or triple the price you can buy in PJ or KL. Like, a simple bowl of curry mee, you can get at around RM3 or less in PJ/KL, but here it's like RM8.50! A hot cup of Milo is RM2.50 >_<

Later on, my aunt and cousin tried their luck to go into the Monte Carlo casino. My cousin is 16, but she looks mature so my aunt tried to take her in, in hopes that they would not check her IC. But most unfortunately, they did and she had to come out. In the end, my aunt went in alone, and my cousin and I went around the place. Found an arcade, and played some games. I dived for the Daytona USA first! I liked this game alot. But I was wondering....the stering seemed lighter than I last played....weird. And the car is most likely to crash if u turn to fast. They started to change from tokens to topup cards. It's exactly like what they used in KDU...where you scan and they deduct your credit instantly. And it's under StarTag too, same as KDU O_o I had to use one hand to hold the Card, and one hand to steer the car, and I found so much easier to do that. Even weirder huh? That was the retro Daytona, there was another more modern Daytona. Darnit, should have gone to that one! >_< I ended up at place 36th after all the crashes with 2 hands. *sob*

Later my cousn asked me to play Marvel Heroes with her. Haha. Battled with a few characters. We won a couple of times, and after that, credit finished! So fast! Was expected...the games takes up alot of credit. Started to walk around the place. Entered the indoor park and browsed through the shops there. Nothing much. went upstairs and into Girls. Saw this mood ring which I hadn't seen for so long! Tried on a couple and all of them showed dark blue(Relaxed). Then tried on the last one and had this green and yellow colours....Mixed Emotion. Hah, wonder what's that mean. After one hour or so,we got a call from Aunt cause it's time to take the cable back to Gohtong Jaya. Woohoo! Then it's smooth sailing back to KL :D

That's all. Kinda boring eh? Haha

P.S. during the trip, I bought two rolls of thread. Finally can sew the sequins on my tee. If I can, I'll post the picture. Camera's outta battery anyway.

Busy weekend

Last weekend was quite busy. Decided to go for a visit to SPCA since the LEO Club KDU was organizing one. Drove to KDU early morning. Too early to be exact. Supposed to be at 8.30 meeting point, but I came at 8am, to find no one there but myself :(
Called the president, she's only on her way, so wandered like some lost lil girl around KDU. Nothing much, just having a long glance at the notice board. The Mr and Ms KDU (Disco Inferno) audition is going on now and I was looking at the contestants. There's 2 people I know...makes me wonder who will win out of the 8...or was it 10...contestants. Wishing I could go see them in action, but the ticket is so much more than I had expected, so I ain't going :(
Miss President came at about 8.15am. Along with some other LEO members. Finally got to know that person I've been emailing to about the SPCA visit. Haha. Sorry I didn't know you earlier on, I'm quite blur ^^"
Left on the bus to Ampang. Jalan Kerja Ayer Lama if I'm not wrong. 63000 is the postcode. Got lost on the way when the bus reached Ampang. The place is big(to many of us) and finding SPCA is like looking for a needle in a hay stack!
Finally found the place after a few minutes of going around Ampang. Somehow, Ampang reminds me of Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu...the buildings I mean. Reminds me that it's been awhile since I last visited those places.
Okay, back to SPCA. Went there on the purpose to help to some paint job on the cages. To those unfortunate dogs...sorry that some paint ended up in your water bowl....please don't drink it, it's poisonous! Ok, it's not like they'll be able to read this -_-"
I helped to de-bone some chicken neck, and man it's quite fun! :D It's not raw chicken neck for your information, it's cooked! And it's difficult to peel the meat of the bone...gotta learn from the two experts who helps Steven de-bone the chicken necks(Not fair Steven, you got two "Masters" to help you!!!).
After de-bone-ing enough chicken necks, I went on to paint the cages. I got my hands alot of paint, and had to use alot of turpentine to get the paint off. The turpentine dries up really fast, and most of the guys just plain pour the turpentine straight to their hands, and not on the newspaper like I did.
I patted and had cats licked my right hand, and patted and had dogs licked my left hand instead. Haha. Then I saw this one super cute cat! It's so darn active, and has the bluest eyes I've ever seen! XD And it's like Tarzan!! Climbing around the cage like there's no other cats with it! Woow! And there's this another cat i saw with one green and one blue eyes. Really unique!
Hours passed really fast. Had to say goodbye to this place. I'm probably never going to have a chance to come back, coz I don't noe the way -_-"
The rest of the day passed on as usual, with afternoon naps and late dinner :P

On Sunday, the LEO Club KDU was invited to the LEO School at SK MethodistGirls School. That morning there was a long jam right outside KDU, because they are having a PMR seminar there(of all places....) and getting into KDU is very much a hassle. And little did I realise that the LEO-ers were trying to get a taxi until they saw me driving. In the end, I drove a couple of them to Brickfields(shhh! Keep this hush hush between us okay? My parents aren't supposed to know!). Following Steven's car, I drove to the school. Remembered that halfway there, I lost Steven because I didn't drive fast enough, and went into the wrong lane X_x! Luckily had someone in the car who's familiar with this place(thank god!) and he directed me t the school using another way. *phew*

I was to stand in for Secretary Eva that day. Had to go around being "Assistant Secretary". The secretary course was quite exciting! Get to know what a secretary really do.

After the brief course, went to the main hall and joined the rest of the KDU LEO Club peepz. Got around to knowing a guy who used to be from SMKDJ like me. Sorry I didn't recognise you earlier, but you did look familiar lolx.

I chatted awhile with the other secretaries of other LEO Clubs. They're all a happy lot ^^ Rejoined the other KDU-ers when Tara and Steven came out of their respective briefing rooms. Had lunch and then drove 4 guys back to KDU. One went off halfway to Bangsar Shopping Centre as he's house is near there. Three guys left. All heading back to KDU. Reached KDU in 30 minutes, driving slow. Is 80 km/h slow, by the way? I don't know...
Reached home at 1.30pm. Had a long afternoon nap. Didn't get my assignments done coz I was too lazy lolx :P luckily the lecturers are still lenient(i think). Anyway, that's all for now. Gotta sleep. Adios~
