Girl, cheated...

To those who lives around the SS2 area, or better, in SS2 itself, is bound to know this place called Novel House. For those who don't, Novel House is a bookshop which offers customers to rent books for a period of time. And because of the most recent project my groupmates and I embarked on, I had purchased a book to find out how the shop owner prices the books. I only rented a kids' book just for the fun of it.
But I delayed in returning the book because I wanted to read it, it was rather interesting. Then, about a few days later, I went back to return the book, but found the place close. On the metal shutters was a note with the words "Sorry, Closed Today".
I then came back another day. Still closed, but this time without a note. I thought it was the usual day off or something.
But after that, I came back everyday to return the book but the shop was never open! I got cheated! Damn it! Argh! I want my money back!!
Somehow makes me feel like returning the book to another Novel House in USJ Taipan...hmm...maybe I should. Its still Novel House, right? What do you think?

Anyway, this is, by far, my most stressful week(we'll wait for next week to come and see). As much as the February 2006 UTS first year students know, exam just around the corner of the second building down the next lane so everyone's (or almost) noses are seen stucked in books. That's my usual result from my morning "sightseeing" around the campus. Somehow those stress vibes seem to be rubbing off on me. Sadly to say, I'm still jolly-hopping around and indulging in personal pleasure like watching tv and playing games and shaking legs while reading a nice mystery novel somewhere in a corner of my room...

Feeling guilty, but I have to admit I can never put my full concentration 100% when studying in the library. The computers are distraction number 1, being placed at the most strategic area which is a few metres after you pass the library entrance. So, without fail, the first thing you'd see in the library is the computer, not the books or the people or even anything fancy that may come across as a clownsuit.

Therefore, these days, all I want to do is avoid the library. Study at home, in the wee hours, where my house will FINALLY be quiet. But its been disturbing my stomach of late. Like...no appetite all of a sudden, and stomachache. >< Maybe I should get the 8 hours of decent sleep before I end up being sick even before the finals. Sigh...

By the way, went into this place called Walk-In Rent-A-Book one day in SS2. Was checking it out because of my group assignment. Found this books written by Sue Townsend. Yay! Was looking for those books since secondary school! But one book is like RM20, and there's a couple of books she wrote. Sigh...I guess 3 months will be more than enough to read two books after the looooooooooooooooooong holidays after the finals. Feel like working again, miss working life somehow, but it can get abit robotic after a while. I mean, everyday you come and do the same thing over and over again. Compared to school life, its more flexible and sometimes you can just goof off and avoid trouble. Wahahaha~

Oh well, shall go study now or I'll be digging me own grave...probably there will be a ranting post when my stress level reaches to the point of hell.

Parking ticket incident (pls dun be so silly like me)

There was one particular ticket incident (I think most of my collegemates would be able to remember it) which happened not too long ago. One morning, a friend of mine as well as I were late to college, reaching there at about 8am. I did the usual, lock the stering of my car, then proceed to feed the uber-greedy parking machine with coins.
THEN, upon reaching maximum limit of coins for the day (the machine allows only maximum RM4 to eat per pax...but reaching RM4 means you're allowed to park for 24 hours, no matter what time) I didn't realised the time, so the ticket was printed like this:

WAKTU TAMAT:8.07 PG BAYARAN 4.00 WAKTU BAYARAN 8.07 PG

Weird timing? Yes, I agree.
And you know what the silly girl me did?

It would have been really funny, and I can bet I heard the Mr. SamanMan laughing his santaclaus belly all da way to the saman-paying area. Har. What I didn't realise was that the TARIKH BELI/TAMAT is 08-09/05/06, which means I could have parked my car overnight till next morning at 8.07 in the morning! So malufying....

Of recent events (and not-so recent ones)

This post is going to touch on a number of occasions, and I'm gonna type out what comes to my mind first. The list of events is not written in chronological order. Come on, this is my blog, I can do what I want :D

First event in line is the slow-guy-steal-handphone real-life story told my one of me lecturers, Ms.CSZ.
Her colleagues, consisting of 3 women and one man(torn among the roses thing) were at Damansara Utama having lunch.
By the way, we were thinking how they actually had the time to go DU and eat when Subang Jaya is like freakin' far from that place. Anyway...
so dear Ms.CSZ was enjoying yoong tau fu(shop is currently unknown, she did not disclose that particular info) and there was this kid, who came in with a newspaper in his hand, and in the middle of the newspaper was a picture of an Indian God, and he was going around asking for donations.

So he stopped at ms.CSZ's table, and asked for donations. They...erm, lemme skip this part. So after a while, they noticed the kid still standing at the same spot, asking donations from their table...waiting for SOMETHING.

After some time, he walked off, quite slowly. Then suddenly, one of ms.CSZ's female colleague stood up, and ran after the kid, leaving the rest of her colleagues in a blur. THEN, she came back, sat down, like one would normally do before indulging in food. So her colleagues then question her about her abrupt running.

She promptly told them that THE KID TOOK HER HANDPHONE! (Would you believe the cheek of kids these days...).
Immediately, the male (and only male) colleague stood, up, ran after the boy in great hurry, and smack the kid senseless on the head.
ms.CSZ actually commented that at such far distance, the smack could be heard! Must've been one really hard smack. The poor kid must've started to see stars already :P

And then, this particular, un-related, super-kaypoh guy nearby, who was doing something in the boot of his car, saw the commotion, and asked what happened (in a kaypoh sorta way). So then he was told of the incident. Immediately he slammed his car boot and sprinted after the poor kid. What happened wasn't very clear, but he came back and scolded ms.CSZ and her colleagues instead!

His reason? He left his car keys in the boot of his car, and he slammed the boot shut, remember? (If you don't please scroll up and re-read carefully)

Lesson of the day? Don't be so kaypoh, it's not very good to barge in on something which has nothing to do with you.

Next event : How to Win over a rather Serious Librarian.

This one happened earlier today. Was in library to discuss marketing analysis report with the rest of my groupmate. Wanted to book a discussion room, Discussion Room 2 to be particular. So the rather-serious-librarian was at the counter, and he gave me his choice of room, Discussion Room 1, because it was vacant. I was like "Can I have Room 2 instead?" and he asked "Why?" in a very surprise and suspicious manner. And you know what I did?
I'm the one with the big wide smile, which was unrealistically bigger than my face. Haha!
So then he gave me the key to Room 2 instead xD so fun! Well, until i realise Room 2 does not have marker pens! Oopz! hehe...

Well that's all about it. Supposed to have one more post about this ticket incident, but until i scan something, then I'll post it. Just wait.
