Leave the snowman alone and thou shalt be in Santa's good children list

Poor Snowman. Everyday, he gets raped and molested by thousands of children(and not to mention, adults). I wonder, do they(or will they) ever pity the snowman? Will they pity the person who did the snowman? Did they ever wonder the cost that was incurred in MAKING the snowman? I bet they didn't, obviously. I happened to encounter a few parents who just don't give a tuppence about reading the sign at the bottom of the snowman, and let their child/children play with and pull out the wool. Talk about ignorance. When I did approach them about the sign, they just tell me words like:

Parent #1: Don't worry, nothing will happened to the snowman wan. (Me: huh? oh that's what you think. There will be thousands that have come and will come to do the same thing, you ain't the only one!)

Parent #2: She's(his daughter) just a kid okay! *walks off hufftily* (Me: Well, you could AT LEAST read the sign and not just stand there and let your daughter STILL touch the wool though I have told her not to nicely.)

There was another time when a large family of about 6 came. 2 adults, 3 kids and an infant. After I took their orders, the kids began to vandalize the snowman! The boy went and tried to "chop" of the snowman's hand, and the girls were stroking(pulling out) the snowman's wool. Goodness! Thank god their attention moved to the Playstation 2. Was I glad when they left after finishing their meal.

That's all for now. The snowman's pretty fragile now if you ask me. *sob* New year's a-coming. The snowman can finally RIP(Rest In Pieces) =P

It was a hard day

I had wanted to write this earlier on, full with swear words and stuff, but the anger has subsided, so this is gonna be "soft ranting".

It was Friday. I had been warned quite a few times that on Fridays it would be packed so I was ready to be at people's services. Fortunately, during my shift it wasn't packed so I was asked to train as barperson. Okay, I thought. I went in and made some drinks for new customers, and punch the bill. One of the bosses was training me, he taught me how to punch bill, and settle the bill as well. So, I got it the first time and was contented with myself(abit early to be isn't it). Then later, another boss asked me to repeat what I had learned. Halfway, he taught me another method, and I got things mixed up. It basically lead to the same thing, but my brain is kinda slow in registering things. At that point, a customer wanted to settle his bill. The boss asked me to just press one last button, but I forgotten which one because his method confused me. The customer was eye-ing me, and got impatient really fast. He just came up to the bar and said to my boss "Stop screwing her up and get this done with". The boss just punch out the bill, and the customer paid. Before he took his change, he said "this one...difficult to train". I wanted to scream at him. Excuse ME, but I have had a tough time with the machine, and one slight can cause the machine to make that face-twitching, ear-piercing sound! HAH! I would like to see HIM try the machine! I didn't though. My boss was there, and I didn't want to spark off a commotion at the cafe, so I kept silent throughout the ordeal. After that, my boss asked me to continue what I had left off earlier on, but I couldn't take it. I actually went out of the cafe and cried in the loo.

After some time, Mel came and consoled me. Later on Miko came as well. I have to thank the both of them, seriously. I stayed in the toilet pretty long though. I was shredding tissue paper in the toilet with my pen(like stabbing that old man like crazy) in one of the cubicle. Nobody knows though =P Later on, things went like usual in the cafe. I had to drive my car out and into 1 Utama again. The jam outside was subsiding, thank god. The rest are history.

On Saturday, it WAS packed, especially during lunchtime. Yi-Lin joined me later during break, and I came back a bit late. The fish and chips at Fish and Co was a big portion and it took quite some time to come. By the time I dig into my food, I had only 8 minutes left. Oops...
Creeping into the evening, the number of customers subsided, and eventually I can mop the floor. Sometimes, when it's time to mop the floor, a customer comes in, and my work is disturbed. Sometimes, the customers(just that one table) won't leave for hours! There was once when a family(I assumed) came in(3 ladies and a man) sat and chat and discused about something for 2 and a half hours! And I was waiting that long as well to mop the floor. Lolx.
Back to Saturday...the evening there was not many customers, but there was one particular grumpy old man. When I asked him about the food, he said "Ahh..later. *gesturing for me to go away* I have ate here before, so I know" . I was about to leave, then he told me that the prawns are abit not fresh. I offered to change them for him, but he decline. Went off to tell the barperson, and then offered to fry another 2 prawns for the customer. The customer was like "Up to you la". He doesn't seem to bother about anything! Argh! >_< After the prawns came, he was pretty contented with them. Phew.... Went to wash the dishes, then leave at 6pm.

Offdays are useless

My offdays are useless. Why? Because on my offdays, I have other equally important things to do. Right now the things I HAVE to get done are:

1) Get my MyKad done (done this morning, took the whole day!)
2) Get the Christmas presents done
3) Get my college transfer approval
4) If number 3 succeeds, then my college stuff needs tending to
5) Need to get my dress and other things done for the upcoming Pre-U dinner

So, it's not really an offday. Some people take their offdays as days to go shopping, veging out at home, but I have no idea why I'm always busy. Maybe I'm just the type who procrastinates and then panics when the due dates are around the corner. Haha

But seriously, sometimes I think I'm often coming up with something to do. Like, I can never sit still and mayhe just watch tv or something. It's been quite LONG since I sat in front of the tv for minimum 2 hours. Unless it's a movie of course.

Now I have come up with a new interest. My interest doesn't always last long. Now, photography. I'll probably get some film for the non-digital camera I have. It's much better than the digital camera I have to say, but the digital one of course offers direct image editing in the computer. So I'm weighing between the two. With the non-digital, I get to take clearer pictures, but I have to pay to get the photos done. With the digital camera, i dun need to have the negative washed(cause it doesn't have any in the first place!), just transfer into my computer, do a little editing, and it's all done! :D But the image would be rather blur because the digital camera isn't the good type. Who has ever heard of a Grand Vision camera anyway??? Hmm....whatsmore it eats ALOT of battery power, and mine is not the rechargeble type. Oh well, its probably just a "for-awhile" kind of hobby, so maybe I'll just get a couple of films for the old camera, and batteries for the digital one and try both. Hehe. But sometimes I have to say the digital camera's photos ain't so bad.....only after editing. =P

I'm more towards pictures with no humans inside. More like...nature. Planning to take some of Mom's flowers and then print them on a paper, make a postcard out of it and send to Claudia. Hehe. Should try one day.

Anyway, more news on work. Just met with a rather weird couple yesterday. The man asked for my name. It's rather odd being addressed at my name. Like, "Thanks, Michelle". "How are you Michelle?". Kinda.....creeps me out if I don't know the person. Hahahahha

So long for now.

My Stand : Sales Assistant to Waitress

First thing I wanna say is : I hate being a waitress!! I guess I just realised I can't take orders from people too much. It's getting rather annoying. =(

Anyway, enough ranting up there. On with the...blog. Today is my 7th day of working, and I'm on the verge on quitting. Dunno whether I should or not, and how to in the first place. I've already promised them I'd work till end of January. Har.

So everynight, after work, in order to release stress, I'll be bashing something on the PS2, mostly violence games la of course. Oh, and I have got to get new controllers as well. The current one seems abit weird already.

Been purchasing games from shops since I'm in 1 Utama like, 6 days a week hehe. Supposed to save for the upcoming dinner in January but...oh well. Some are violent games(you'd know what for...).

I've been missing so many movies(Harry Potter 4, Chronicles of Narnia, Aeon Flux-i heard that this one sucked, and Pontianak 2 Harum Sundal Malam). Really want to watch but one day off a week isn't really going to help.

So, whats with all the people demanding to food to come faster, and wouldn't believe that the food is actually on the way(I have been warned of demanding customers. "Just assure them that the food is on the way" the boss said. Har.). Then sometimes I made mistakes in the order, and then I get the tsk-tsk look from one of the bosses(there are 3 by the way, and often two of them comes to the cafe to look at how things are going). I have yet to balance two tall glass drinks on the tray. If they fall then.....ouch. Me being so kecik(small sized) IS an obvious disadvantage here. I have to take a chair to get my bag from the top of the refrigerator, the counter is abit on the high side, everyone there is taller AND they seem to think I'm underage. Goodness.

Oh well, just releasing some steam here. So early already got steam aihz.

I've had more fun being a sales assistant last time than a waitress. There are demanding customers occasional, but it doesn't take someone long to get a smaller/bigger sized clothe so long, right?

Before I leave, I just realised that my previous post is the 100th. Lolx. So fast.

Last day of IELTS

Yesterday was my last IELTS class. Nothing much to say about it, abit boring. This coming Saturday would be my exam for IELTS. Hmm....everything is okay, except the essay part and the speaking part. I have to find some samples for the essay. The lecturer didn't bother to explain the essay part since my classmates and I came one class later. Speaking....just have to dig out some general knowledge stuff(like a historical place in Petaling Jaya, and what's jazz mean and stuff like that). That's about it though.

Tomorrow I'm gonna start work. 2 in the afternoon. I'll probably take bus go there at 11am(just for the fun of it =P). OR maybe drive, but I doubt I can find a parking lot. Weird is that I'm not really excited about this job, unlike the one I worked last time(I used to be a sales assistant). Lolx...maybe once I got a taste of the real world, it ain't fun anymore hmm? :P

Got an email yesterday. A dinner is to be held for the Pre-U students(includes last year's July'04, exclude this year's July'05). Semi-formal is the dresscode. Hmm...Neeraa said that there's nice dresses at shops at Petaling Street. Gonna SO check it out! =D

I guess that's about it. Nothing much happening really.

P.S. This is my 100th post! Yay!
