Working life is boring -.-

In the previous post, I have touched on my workplace. Well, so far, it's nice. Working on the weekends is flexible and does not clash with my ccollege classes. Plus, I get to earn money :D If I am not wrong, I have only wrote about Thursday and Friday in the previous post. Now, I shall continue with Saturday and Sunday.

-Saturday-
Shoe shop today! ^^ I like being in the shoe shop. Bright n cheerful like it always was. One thing, I can tell more about shoes better than clothes. What's more, the shoes are the "in" thing now, platform-like shoes made out of wood with pretty decorations here n there...usually in the favour of office ladies n middle-aged women.

Happened to make quite some sales. About 4-6 shoes were sold. Man am I so happy ^^ At night I started to do alot of things myself while my supervisor for that day looks over. Stock checks...Cash n bank money checks...quite tiring. Had to clean the shop everyday, so I had to start at 8.30pm. Pretty early as the shop's opening and closing times are 10.30 and 9.30. The shop officially opens at 10.45 depending how fast we count the money to make sure its enough, and count the stocks again.

So, that's all for Saturday(oh by the way, my leg hurts :'( )

-Sunday-
In the boutique today. Happened to browse through a particular rack and saw this really, really, cute top!! XD Okay...so it is cute....but the price is not....RM29.90 for a top like that...I'd have to wait till I get my pay, then I can splurge all I want XD
*Ahem* anyway, since it was Sunday, the supervisor told me that usually only lunchtime would the number of customers pick up. Hmm...so whole morning I was listening to Fish Leong on radio(been listening over n over again). Her song "Fly Away" title sounds similar to one of F.I.R.'s song, Fly Away. But of course, it is not the same song. Fish's was more towards soft music, FIR's was rock. So far, only had one sale. A lady came in while I was cleaning up(had to start at 8.00 because the shop's bigger), she wanted to purchase a skirt she's been looking for but hadn't been able to as we often closed early. So I let her in. She chose the skirt, bought it and went. I thought there weren't any more "disturbance", but as usual, I'm wrong.
Another lady came in, correction, TWO ladies. They're both relatives, if I'm not wrong. Came in together. Ms. Joey told me to tell them to go away, but they sorta forced in, and we just let them go look around quick. They also used "I'm going back to Singapore tomorrow, and when I always come to this shop, it's closed" Haihz. In the end, didn't buy anything. Haihz.
Continued cleaning, and I had "banjir-ed" the floor by mistake, didn't rinse the mop a bit before mopping the floor >.< oopzz
Hmm...Ms. Joey is already leaving this week, will not see her on Saturday anymore :'(
And the shop which my sisters usually get their RO reload cards from is moving...Joey's husband works there. Joey is going because her husband had been transfered...sad....

So that's all.
Oh, today is Friday, isn't it?
On Wednesday, I had made Mesclun Salad. It tasted nice, but the dressing wasn't cold enough...sigh....didn't put in the fridge long enough. But it was nice ^^
Today, I'll be trying my hands at baked pasta pie for lunch, and cookies for next week. ^^

Logging off now ^_^

Working so far is....

kinda fun and boring at the same time.

Let's start with the summary of the past two days:

-Thursday 21/4/05-
Hmm. Started at the shoe shop. Was a really bright and cheerful place. That was my first impression la, haha. A supervisor was inside. She taught me a lot of things, like how to operate the computer, do the cash registery thing, serve customers, give suggestions and how to clean and do lots of things. I have to say it IS hard work, and this being my first ever official job makes it no better. Often, customers want a certain kind of size, and you'll have to look for it. Have to sometimes flatter the customer in hopes that they'll buy the shoe.

Sold only about 2 pairs that day. Sad :( My communications skill is da worst!

-Friday 22/4/05-

In the boutique today. Just a few dorrs away from the shoe shop. Ahh...the clothes here are a bit "jang", usually for middle-aged people. There are some for teens here and there but the stocks are quite little. Usually in pink colour. Haihz...why no blue leh? Oh wait, there is!! But costs about RM10? Handmade, from Thailand. Wow *in amazement*

So far sold a pair of red jeans, a long fancy pants, and a pair of gold sandals! Hey, is my communication skills improving? :D I'm so glad!! ^^

First day working....on a holiday...

Today is Prophet Muhamed's birthday. Therefore, it is a public holiday, but I'm working?
Do you know why?
Because I was stupid enough to think that it was the starting of the term holiday, so i requested to start today!!!! Argh!!!!!
I'm so stupid!! >.<

I got accepted!! ^_^

Yay! I got accepted for the job!! :D I shall be working as a part-time promoter in G.A Collections starting this Thursday to Sunday. Training starts first, so this Thursday and Friday is reserved for training. It's a weekends only job...flexible ^^

And...this week happens to be exams week. First term exams for both internal and external foundation students. It started ladt Friday actually with Academic English and Thinking Skills. Then yesterday (Monday) was Computing Studies. Today are Economics and Accounting. Tomoro is Malaysian Studies. After that, is the term holidays for me!!(Hurray!!).

So far the exams were quite okay, with the exception of Economics. The Multiple Choice Qeustions were tricky. The first few were alright, but when it came to the last few, I was in a daze situation. First this, then this..eh, wait...was that right??? :P
I screwed up, totally.

Last Thursday was my first day in LEO Club. The club is quite interesting. They are going to have a LEO Forum somewhere next month in Penang, and I'm still thinking on whether i should go or not. It's not a one-day but a 3-day thing. A lot of LEO members will be meeting each other, and a lot of interaction going on. U may think it all very nice but, hey, remember the earth quake and tsunami? I ain't gonna risk it, I'd have yer all ter know.

P.S. I have an announcement to make: Ms. Bitchy and her friends were copying during the exams, and by rules if they're caught, they'll be reprimanded and a hearing would follow. Sounds like court, doesn't it?

First job interview

Hmm I had a call today from the supervisor of the shop which I had submitted a resume in. Have to go for an interview tomorrow.
Her reason? She just wants to meet me. I wonder why she would want to do that now? The other KDU student only leaves in May, not April.
Anyhow, I am to meet her tomorrow at noon time. And I'm going to college at 9am. Pretty early since my class is starting at 2pm.
Oh well, I could dwell in the library and study. I really need to catch up on my Economics. Exam is next week. This Friday is going to start off with Academic English exam. A whole 3 hours is set aside for the students. You may think it is a lot of time, but if you look at the number of questions and the amount of words we have to write per essay(there's 2 essays by the way), you'd be surprised to find out there ISN'T enough time to do everything.
And I have to study real hard because the average marks at the end of the year is counted by adding all semesters marks and divided by the number of semesters I'm going through the whole year.
Man am I so dead!!
Oh, and did anyone realise the previous post stopped halfway? I have no idea, and I'm having a couple of problems with the previous post. Seems like half of it went missing after I had that HTML problem earlier on. Odd...

Okay, continuing from the previous post...
So, since I hd failed to catch the bus, I took a taxi instead. After paying a sum of RM4.00, I entered 1 Utama. Started racing up to the cinema area. Was in time for the movie Samara. Bought ticket and went into cinema Hall 6.

After far as I can say, the movie....kinda.....sucked...
Yes, because many of the scary scenes were taken from other horror flicks like Dark Water. I'm not going to say which part or it'd be a spoiler already.

After the movie, which ended after 2 hours, I just loiter around 1 Utama, and bought a pair of earrings from Sinma. I seem to began to have this weird fascination with dangling earrings, as I've never had any until I enter college.

I'm goin to sign off now, have fun reading. :D Adios~

Alone in a shopping mall-->my first time :|

Friday (8 April 2005)

Came late for the 10th number of times already to college. Hmm...weird thing is, only half the class was here today morning. Was wondering why until someone told me that those "absent" were preparing for the interhighschool debate. It's the final round already!! So fast! The last 2 schools for the day are SM Subang and SM Sultan Abdul Samad. SM Subang is the Government team, and the other one is obviously the opposition. Ms. Leena let us off early to watch the debate.
I have to say, it's pretty cool wathing this interschool debate because usually each schools pick their best debate team to enter such competition. SO, clearly it's no amateur debate.
POI here, POI there. Pretty fun to see how quickly the current debater rebuts the other team. Hehehe, could really use this in my Thinking Skills debate :D

Unfortunately, I didn't watch until the adjudicators give their results. Had to leave for Economics. Ms Elsie WAS a little peeved when Neeraa and I reached class late.
After an hour of Economics, stayed back and waited for Xiao Wei to bring me the English Report. Neeraa was making impatient noises as she had to rush for her bus.

After some agonizing minutes(I'm rushing to catch a movie at 1 Utama), Xiao Wei FINALLY came, and we ran to leave the report on Ms Leena's table.

Neeraa ran for her bus, and I went to the library instead. Took out my Economics notes and tutorial book and did some work, before heading out to catch the bus to 1 Utama. Halfway walking down the road in the drizzle, I met with 2 of my fellow classmates/friends. Heck, they told me the bus had left!! >.<>

Eeekz Econs lecturer juz blew her top today >.<

Today I had tutorials for Economics, a subjects which, sadly to say, is not in my favour. Had plenty of homeworks due today, to be discussed with my lecturer Ms. Elsie. Unfortunately, alot of us didn't do any of the work, and that got Miss really angry and she started scolding us. The more wrong answer we gave, the more angry she became. Man, never seen her like that before...what Adeline said was right...she is more angry as weeks go by. Exams stress, must be. Looks like the students are not the only ones who're stressed up.

So far English classes were cancelled. An inter-highschool debate was carried out in KDU. the Auditorium was where the debate was held. It's fun watching people "argueing" about a certain issue. Some debaters are pretty arrogant, some couldn't really debate, some are just plain reading cue cards without elaborating....many things la.

So far college life is boring. I thought there was a female futsal club, but it turned out to be a female futsal COMPETITION. aihz...

Finished playing Tekken 4 and Tekken 5 few days back. Quite fun!! Unlocked all characters already :D

Unlocked all characters in Tekken 4 within one day! So easy! But Tekken 5 took me a week because of Devil Jin...dang, takes so long to unlock him...but he can do those laser attacks. Pretty cool! ^^

Hmm...what else to blog about...oh ya, these days Thinking Skills class had put the January intakes and the March intakes together. Hmm...pretty unfriendly, the way they gave us those "stares". Don't even smile at us. It's just temporarily fortunately. Until they get their lecturer.

So that's all I'll blog about. Nothing much happened these days. Pretty much boring.
