I'm Not-So Wanted

Two days ago I took a taxi(by myself) to 1 Utama in search for a part-time job since I'm on holiday. Don't know why, the first place I went to was Girls, but they didn't have any more vacancy available. Then went around aimlessly. Saw "Shop A" having a part-time vacancy. Went in and inquire about the job. The salesperson there just asked me to leave my name and contact number, and they'll call me. Hmm...I like the hours, but it's only a three-days job. If I do get it, what am I gonna do for the rest of the week? Nevermind. Went around and passed Tribal Spirit, but stopped abruptly because I saw Kryztine inside! :D Stayed there and chatted for quite awhile, found out she had been working for 11 days already! She actually counted. Then went out and walked and ended up at the ground floor of the new wing. Saw Womens' Secret with a "Wanted" sign out in the front. Went in, and applied and was asked to come the next day for an interview. In the end, I didn't go =P

Walked around some more and saw Heng Seng, Pek Ying, and Joanne at Presents4U. Chatted awhile, found out they're all doing AusMat at Sunway University College. Then bid goodbye, and walked on. Asked for vacancy at a couple more shops but the vacancy is either full already or is full-time only or they require Chinese-speaking people. Frustrated, went back to Tribal Spirit andchatted some more with Kryz. At 5, decided to go and try Memory Lane, as Kryztine said. Been there, but they had no more vacancy :( Head on to MPH, went there, but was too scared to ask >_< Went out, then just loiter around 1 Utama. Decided to have a McFlurry with Oreos (nyum! XD) But changed my mind to a Sundae. Then went to ask Gifts2Go but their vacancy is full already. Hmm...

The day before I went 1 Utama to find a job, I went around Atria to look for one. I gave up on HeBe. Can't even communicate with the manager properly. Korean person :S I applied at Delifrance, but I cannot hope so much because the way the supervisor there took my application is like "sambil lewa". Forget it man! ):( If you're just laying me off, then just say that you don't want me! Don't give me false hope okay!

Today itself, I tagged with my mom and siblings to 1 Utama for lunch at McD's. After that, mom wanted to go Jusco, and she gave me 45 minutes to go where I want to go. Went around looking for a job again. Then saw "Shop B" and tried. Waitressing. Gonna be my first time. But it's a small place, hehe. Can't put too much hope, they prefered someone who can work for quite some time, unlike me. There were other places which had vacancy, but (haha) those places are rather big. >_< I may be choosy, but I wanna focus on working at small places before proceeding to big ones :D Oh well.

Today I got to know my foundation results, though not specifically. I passed everything, but I wasn't given the grade. Have to wait till December 5. Then IELTS exam results is 2 weeks after the exam, and the IELTS exam certificate comes one month after the exam. Damn! So darn long! :( Am I dissapointed....

I'm still pretty torn between continuing my studies to become an accountant or take classes to become a beautician. There are pros and cons in both jobs.

Accountant:

Pros:
1) High demand - every single company needs at least an accountant, sure to find a job somewhere.
2) Office job, fixed salary.
3) Is able to become chartered accountant or professional accountant, and doing auditing and taxation pays good.

Cons:
1) You'd be doing the same thing everytime (Journal, Cashbook, Ledger, Year-End Accounts...) Bo-o-ring.
2) Accountants don't really have alot of social life.
3) You'd have to work under a company, like PriceWaterhouse Coopers or Ernst and Young. There are no independent accountants.

Beautician:

Pros:
1) Get to do something I like, which is beautifying people(and myself XD) :P
2) Get to meet and socialise with so many kinds of people!
3) This ain't no office job.
4) Not neccessaryly a fixed salary.
5) Able to work independently after getting enough experience.

Cons:
1) This job isn't high in demand.
2) Requires patience(alot!) when beautifying people, like makeup and other things.
3) Requires creativity (mine is underdeveloped!)
4) This is rather embarrassing...but......I'd probably have to speak chinese.

Alot of people said that it's totally up to me about what I want. Like Soo Wen said that I should do what I'm happiest with, which I undeniably have to say is true. Some said just go on with being a beautician, as long as you like it, and you'd have to patience to go through, you can achieve what you want, like my mom said. There are some people who object saying that I should just do accounting since I've already passed through my foundation year.

Sometimes, I think I was indecisive when I chose to enter Foundation in Business. Even until now, I'm still indecisive. It's not that I liked doing Accounts, it's because I'd good with it. I mean, I know how to do it, it's like Maths, just not that difficult. Formulas are fixed. But there are subjects which assists the Accounting subject which pulls me down, like Economics. I now realised I'm not good at all with reading subjects but am much better at practical subjects, where I write and practise alot.
Hmm...so how? :|
